Condominium asking rents in the Greater Tokyo area rose 2.0% month over month to ¥4,193 per square meter in June 2026, marking the first increase in two months and setting a new 12-month high. Tokyo posted a modest gain, while Kanagawa remained flat and both Chiba and Saitama recorded slight declines.

The Kinki region extended its upward trend for an eighth consecutive month, with average rents rising 0.6% to ¥2,496 per square meter, supported by broad-based gains across major markets and a higher share of listings from Osaka. Meanwhile, the Chubu region and Aichi Prefecture both posted marginal declines of 0.1%.
