The average resale price of existing condominiums rose to ¥41.39 million, up 1.37% year over year, returning to positive growth after a previous decline. The average price per square meter increased 1.93% to ¥640,200, marking the 73rd consecutive month of annual growth. Meanwhile, the average unit size edged up to 66.05 square meters, while the average building age increased to 27.72 years. However, the number of condominium transactions fell 1.88% from a year earlier.

The existing detached housing market also recorded price growth. The average resale price climbed 4.31% year over year to ¥28.07 million, extending its growth streak to 14 consecutive months. At the same time, the average building and land sizes declined slightly, the average property age continued to rise, and transaction volume decreased 1.26% compared with the previous year.

Overall, the data indicate that Japan's existing home market continues to experience rising resale prices despite weaker transaction activity, with both condominium and detached home sales volumes declining year over year.
