Mitsui Fudosan Residential Co., Ltd. is preparing to launch Park Homes Shonan Chigasaki, a 78-unit condominium development in Chigasaki, Kanagawa Prefecture, with a first-phase sales preview beginning on September 26. The project is scheduled to go on sale in mid-November.
Located just a five-minute walk from Chigasaki Station, the 15-story, reinforced-concrete condominium will comprise 78 units, including 68 units offered for general sale, plus two retail spaces. Unit layouts range from 2LDK to 4LDK, with floor areas of approximately 60.8–88.2 sq. m.
The project is designed to capitalize on Chigasaki’s coastal lifestyle, with the beach accessible by bicycle in approximately 10 minutes. Amenities include surfboard storage with heated showers, two bicycle parking spaces per unit, shared bicycles, and a bicycle maintenance area. Residents will also have access to a rooftop terrace offering views of the ocean and, from some locations, Mt. Fuji.
A notable feature is Mitsui Fudosan Residential’s “Public Build” participatory development concept. Residents will be invited to participate in post-completion events to add side tables and high stools to benches installed in the development’s publicly accessible open space. The initiative is intended to encourage interaction among residents and foster a stronger sense of attachment to the property.
The project reflects Mitsui Fudosan Residential’s concept of “Keinen Yuka” — enhancing value over time, with the company aiming to continue improving the residential environment after completion rather than treating construction completion as the endpoint.
Key project details: First-phase pricing and the number of units to be offered have not yet been disclosed. Completion is scheduled for December 2027, with occupancy expected to begin in April 2028.
