The Yaesu 2-Chome Central District Urban Redevelopment Association and five participating companies—including Kajima Corporation, Sumitomo Realty & Development, the Urban Renaissance Agency, Hankyu Hanshin Properties, and Mitsui Fudosan—have announced that the facility name for the Yaesu 2-Chome Central District Type 1 Urban Redevelopment Project in Tokyo’s Chuo Ward will be “YAESU CORE.”

Located just three minutes on foot from JR Tokyo Station and two minutes from Tokyo Metro Kyobashi Station, the project will feature a 43-story tower with three basement levels, approximately 227 meters high and offering about 389,290 square meters of total floor area. As the final major project among the three redevelopment projects around Tokyo Station, YAESU CORE aims to create a new hub of activity and strengthen Tokyo’s international competitiveness.

The complex will include office space, around 50 retail stores, a 1,300-seat theater, serviced apartments, and an international school offering a world-class educational curriculum. It will also feature sports facilities, including a gymnasium, swimming pool, and outdoor athletic field, as well as seven bus bays underground.

The development will further enhance environmental performance and disaster resilience through energy integration with Tokyo Midtown Yaesu and emergency power generation facilities. These measures are intended to reduce environmental impact during normal operations while supporting business continuity and people stranded by disasters. Completion is scheduled for the end of January 2029.
